Forging your own way through life is the theme of this episode. Amber Fortier is joining us today to share her journey from unacceptance to self-love. Through becoming a stripper and then yoga instructor, she was able to understand her worth and come to life-changing realizations about herself that stemmed from her traumatic childhood.
One of the most admirable things about Amber is the lighthearted way she goes about life. She doesn’t let anything stop her, but it’s with a fun and playful determination, rather than a serious “hustle and grind” energy.
Key takeaways:
- Being your best self attracts your tribe and can allow you to create your best life
- Creating and achieving your goals even when you’re not sure how
- Having faith that the support you need will show up
- Living life with a “why not” attitude
The end result of all of this has been the evolution of Embody Me

Amber Fortier in her own words
I am a yoga and meditation teacher and the founder of Embody me. I was raised a Jehovah’s witness, and both of my parents passed away when I was very young. I was raised by my stepmom and my journey really started when I moved out of the house. I worked as a stripper for 5 yrs, solo traveled the world and met my husband. We moved to Amsterdam and that’s when my spiritual journey really began. I have found my passion and purpose, and I want to help women to prioritize their health and wellness, work on themselves, and connect within. When we learn to embody the best version of ourselves, our lives can (and will) completely transform for the best.
